Thank you for being part of The Eco Chapter’s 2024 journey.
Your support—reading, engaging, showing up—fuels the work I do.
And so, I’m pumped to share so much more with you in 2025!
First, what is The Eco Chapter?
The Eco Chapter was born from a simple yet powerful idea: words shape reality. Whether in climate storytelling, education, or brand activism, the way we communicate can deepen understanding, inspire action, and drive meaningful change.
And who am I?
For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Marla Lise and I’m the earthling that runs The Eco Chapter. A citizen of the world, an earthling, weaving my love for stories, dreams, and adventure into a mission to protect the planet—teaching, educating, and advocating for a better future.
I help brands, educators, and changemakers use language as a tool for impact—from crafting sustainability narratives to leading eco-literary workshops that spark action for systemic change.
Let me start by remembering you that you are force of nature. You are doing an incredible work in Singapore, with a level of dedication that is amazing.
You are truly inspirational in showing how small actions can make a big difference in spreading awareness for our planet's challenges.
Marla is good at condensing the craftwork that goes into good writing, and has helped me recover from eco fatigue. I feel much more motivated to write now.
Marla is such a great facilitator, she makes writing so much more accessible and enjoyable, highly recommend!
Marla Lise you embody love, compassion, tenacity, and vision. Even when the path is full of obstacles, you tap deep into your heart and have the wisdom to follow it - and to blaze the trail for the rest of us.
“Connecting, collaborating, co-creating and catalyzing locally-designed climate action is necessary to build inclusive climate change solutions that ensure a fair and just transition for all.” – World Economic Forum
So, let’s build this community!
2025 brings more exciting ways to use words in amazing ways in hopes of saving our species, connecting with each other and nature, and protecting our planet home.
